Human Resource Partners

www.hrpartners.com.au

Human Resource Partners is a detailed HR website offering specialised HR recruitment, job listings and a selection of other tools, information and functions necessary for today's HR professionals. Surfing around the website, however, revealed it to be part of a bigger picture- the Staff and Executive Resources website.

Human Resource Partners covers the industry from all angles- job listings, consultant profiles, overseas links, HR advice, conference details, contracting information, graduate recruitment and interview tips. Being owned by a company that is a specialist recruiter for HR personnel, the site also outlines a recent survey on HR salaries.

Through a partnership with the Hart Consulting Group, the survey grades human resources positions across occupational specialisations into a hierarchy. Participating firms receive active feedback from site visitors and survey participants to assist them with the recruitment of HR staff and also as a way of sharing knowledge of HR practices and the industry generally. HR departments can use the salary information given as an excellent reference resource when recruiting personnel and not knowing quite how much they should be paid; or, of course, if they are wanting to gauge their own salary.

The 'Get Connected' section of the site- which creates a network group where HR people can meet and mix confidentially with their own kind- is particularly useful. Once registered, you can network, share information and advice, and learn of meetings, events and important dates.

The 'Job Listing' section of the site will also come in handy for organisations looking at filling specific HR positions. At present, the only areas covered are Sydney and Melbourne (for both permanent and contract positions) but more regions will follow shortly.

From the point-of-view of the person sitting on the other side of the desk, the 'InterviewTips' section of the site offers solid practical advice, and job seekers in general will be able to turn up quite a lot of value.

The layout of the various pages of the site makes navigation easy enough and there are no fancy flashing icons or scrolling bars of the kind that generally-speaking get annoying rather quickly. The site also allows connection through to other staff and executive resource sites, such as Accounting Resources and Sci-Med Resources.

The contemporary site design, mixed with some insightful and usable information, makes the site definitely worth a visit for those who are looking to recruit an HR professional from within the HR industry or who just want to stay in touch with new techniques or each other!

It will be interesting to see how this site develops over the next six months and what further information can be added to the already comprehensive outline and resources currently available.
